SMC Jenkins & Marr File Outline Planning Application for Billion Pound Golf Course Development.
Yesterday, SMC Jenkins & Marr filed an outline planning application with Aberdeenshire Council on behalf of Trump International Golf Links (TIGL). SMC Jenkins and Marr are TIGL’s Architects and Town Planning Consultants in Scotland and have been working on the proposed Billion Pound development at Menie, near Aberdeen, since its inception.
The outline application relates to Donald Trump’s vision to create “the world’s best golf course” and is for a mixed use resort development on the 1400-acre property. Plans includes a five star, 450 room hotel, a clubhouse, 950 holiday homes, a conference centre and spa and 36 luxury golf lodges. The application also covers plans to convert a former steading building into a marketing suite for the development. The proposed golf courses will be Donald Trump signature designs, created by course architect Tom Fazio II.
An area of the site has been designated for future residential development but details will not be finalised until the Environmental Impact Study, the Economic Impact Study and the Traffic Impact Study have been completed. These are scheduled to be submitted in February of next year, together with detailed plans for the golf courses and clubhouse.
