The Bothwell Plaza project in Glasgow City centre has been lodged for Planning Consent. 

The designs comprise a Crowne Plaza hotel (which incorporates 308 bedrooms, a 1000 person function room, a conference centre, a spa and several speciality restaurants and bars), an Express by Holiday Inn hotel (273 bedrooms) and a Grade A office building of 160,000 sq.ft.net. 

All 3 elements enclose the plaza which is designed to be a new civic space in the centre of Glasgow which addresses Bothwell Street which is fast becoming the prime centre of Glasgow's Central Business District. 

Demolition of the previous hotel on the site is underway, with construction commencement programmed for early 2008.
